Good to know
Fits within maximum dimensions while preserving aspect ratio and never upscales. JPEG output fills transparency with white. Compression does not always reduce file size. Input file limit: 10 MB.

Understand and use your results
Fit an image within upload dimensions or convert between PNG, JPEG and WebP. The selected file is processed locally and the original file is not overwritten.
How to use it
- Choose one image and set the maximum width and height.
- Select format and quality, run, then compare dimensions and byte size before downloading.
Worked example
original: 2000 × 1000; maximum: 800 × 800
800 × 400
The aspect ratio is preserved within the box, rather than stretched to 800×800. Small originals are not enlarged. JPEG fills transparency with white, and the lossy quality setting does not apply to PNG.
Can the result be larger or lose information?
Output can be larger depending on format and source compression. Canvas re-encoding does not guarantee preservation of metadata or color profiles, and this is not an animation-preserving tool. Input is limited to 10 MiB and 40 million pixels; output to 16 million pixels.
