Good to know
Saving = original price × discount rate ÷ 100. A 15% discount on 200 saves 30, leaving 170 to pay. Rates must be between 0 and 100%.
Original price: 200 Discount (%): 15
Understand and use your results
Compare the saving and amount due when you know a list price and discount rate. Shipping and extra coupons are not included automatically.
How to use it
- Enter the original price and a discount rate from 0 to 100.
- Read the saving and final price. For consecutive discounts, calculate again using the previous final price.
Worked example
price: 200, discount: 15%
saved: 30 total: 170
The saving is 200 × 15 ÷ 100 = 30. A 20% discount followed by another 10% discount saves 28% overall, not 30%; consecutive rates do not simply add up.
Why might the checkout total differ?
Currency rounding, tax, delivery, discount caps and coupon order can change a checkout total. This tool applies one percentage discount to your input; confirm the seller’s final terms.
